The best arm-strengthening programs in the world would be nothing if the athletes involved are not willing to put in the work it requires to get better. We have been blessed at Kinetic Drive to be able to work with so many outstanding athletes in both our baseball and softball VELO programs. Without the hard work these athletes put forth every time they show up to train, the velocity gains that they are accomplishing would not be possible.
We have asked both the baseball and softball athletes of Kinetic Drive VELO the same four questions: [What have you learned?], [How has your throwing motion improved?], [What exercise has helped you the most?], and [How is this program preparing you for your upcoming season?]. With their answers down below we are proud to see a number of similarities between the two groups. With highlights in hardwork and a common understanding of how to safely throw harder, we could not be prouder of our athletes!
Kinetic Drive VELO:
What have you learned so far about how to gain velocity safely?
Riley – “You have to be dedicated in the weight room to see real progress”.
What part of your throwing motion has improved the most?
Nic – “I think what has improved the most is now I am using more muscles and hips rather than just my arm to throw”.
Name one exercise you have done during this program that has helped your throwing motion the most.
Riley – “Landmine press, I think that gets the most rotation and I can feel it translate to throwing”.
How is this program helping you prepare for your upcoming baseball season?
Liam – “[This program] has helped me to throw faster and farther”.
Kinetic Drive Softball VELO:
What have you learned so far about how to gain velocity safely?
Darrah – “I have learned to use my whole body, and not just my arm to throw”.
What part of your throwing motion has improved the most?
Christina – “My leg drive has improved the most”.
How is this program helping you prepare for your upcoming softball season?
Elise – “[This program is] helping me rotate more and helping me throw harder”.
